when we heard from joy that she wanted to do her family photos with us, we were of course excited. when she told us she wanted to bring her 1920s truck, red leather chair, big english mastiff dog and get all dressed up in a field, we were practically jumping up and down, how cool would this be??? we met joy and her family at the mountain valley ranch in ramona, and it was the perfect setting for this family photo shoot. here are some of our faves from the shoot...
the bright sun made it tough to get pictures out in the field, but we loved this bridge over the cornfield and the super-blue sky...

I have already started thinking about what to do this year. Any ideas?
I saw a cool picture with a older couch in the middle of a field. I think it would be cool to style a "living room" outdoors. But that would be a lot of prep work!
