bridal shoot: ana

most of us here on the west coast haven't heard of such a thing as a bridal shoot, but luckily, we met ana who is from the east coast, and we got to do an awesome bridal shoot in balboa park. ana got her hair and makeup done by the totally amazing nadia at gila rut salon in hillcrest, and she looked fabulous, like a model for a bridal magazine. so many people were staring at her in the park, they must have thought she was a celebrity. here's a few of our favorite shots from the day, it was hard to pick since there were so many great ones, especially when james made her laugh...

wedding: sara and austin

a couple weeks ago james and i had the pleasure of being part of sara and austin's wedding reception, which included a beautiful ceremony in the park in huntington beach and a party that was full of beautiful and fun people who loved to dance. besides being a drop-dead gorgeous couple, sara and austin were two of the most sincerely gracious people we have worked with, and we are happy we could be part of such a special day in their lives. although we only spent a few hours with them, we got some really memorable shots that we think truly capture their beautiful personalities.

one of the coolest things about the wedding was all the SHOES--check out the red hot numbers worn by the bridesmaids and the bride..


sara has the most amazing smile, i found my camera constantly going back to her to catch her laughing, which seemed to happen all night long...

the cake cutting was very fun and a little naughty...

the first dance was so intimate and romantic, you could feel the love betwen them...

at the end of the night, all the guests blew bubbles, which made for an interesting night picture...

wedding: ari and brad

there are some women who just have that look, its hard to explain, but you know it when you see it. we said this a couple months ago when we did the engagement session for ari and brad, and although i don't think we expected ari to mysteriously lose her allure and come hither look, we also thought it might be impossible for her to look even more amazing. but oh-my-god!!! have you seen a more beautiful bride?

i spent some time with ari and very hot bridesmaids, who were not interested in just looking glam, but also in showing off their ferocious side...

james was hanging out with brad and his groomsmen, who were having fun with some gambling in the park...


ari couldn't stop smiling throughout the ceremony, probably because she knew how lucky she was to have snagged brad...



we spent a bit of time with ari and brad after the ceremony, but made sure we didn't take too much time away from the very fun party they had planned...





we were extremely fortunate to work with this family again (we did ari's brother's wedding last year) because they are absolutely the most loving family we have ever worked with. every detail of the wedding was meticulously planned and executed by some member of the family, which made everything that much more special.

ari spiced up the reception by having her bridal party don some charger jerseys and run a few plays before the bouquet toss...


the ceremony and reception were held at the amazing soledad club in la jolla, and the views are amazing.

wedding: amy and sam

amy and sam got married on a beautiful san diego saturday afternoon, on their own private dining cruise. before boarding the ship, we headed to balboa park for some pre-wedding pictures. amy looked amazing, and her dress was perfect.


we fought the crowds on a busy afternoon to find some secluded spots to capture amy and sam looking incredibly happy and excited to be getting married...



we headed over to one of our favorite spots in the park, in front of the botanical garden for a few more shots...



and then over to the fountain for one last shot before we headed over to coronado


we headed over the bridge to ferry landing park, where amy and sam spent some time on the beach, with the beautiful san diego skyline in the background...




we boarded the dinner cruise and sailed san diego harbor, enjoying a wonderful dinner, great music and fantastic dancing. amy and sam ended the night with a memorable kiss in front of the downtown lights, a fabulous ending to a wonderful wedding.
