engaged: shelby and mike | san diego wedding photographer

we met shelby and mike through heidi and brian, who were the most fabulous clients (and friends) ever! shelby and mike were in a bit of a bind and we were super-psyched when they contacted us to shoot their wedding. we quickly met up to do some engagement photos and wow! we knew we loved them instantly. here are a few from the engagement session in la jolla...

engaged! shannon and jud | san diego wedding photographer

it is so awesome when we meet a couple as fun as we are, and as soon as we met shannon and jud, we knew we were going to have a great time. we started out at balboa park for some fun and romantic shots and spent some time enjoying the warm january weather.









next it was onto little italy, where jud proposed to shannon. we started out at one of our favorite wine bars, sogno di vino, and then took a walk around the cute and colorful streets.

shannon rocked it in a sexy black dress and braved the cold night for some cool pics--they celebrated their engagement right here, zia's bistro in little italy...



gorgeous light, right before sunset, i think they belong in a magazine...


we made another stop at the porto vista hotel where we grabbed a drink at the glass door, a very cool bar with a gorgeous view of san diego harbor...


and then it was a race to catch the train and the little italy sign before it got too dark...


shannon and jud, we are so looking forward to your wedding this summer, and james is looking forward to renting an aston martin one of these days :) congrats!!!

engaged: kelley and david

we met kelley what seems like ages ago, before she moved with her husband to south dakota. they were planning their november wedding here in san diego, and although it turned out we weren't able to do their wedding, we promised them we would do some pictures when they came into town. james and delshad met kelley and david at balboa park and spent some time just having fun, relaxing before the big day. we hope your day was fabulous and we had a great time with you both!!!

she said yes! dave and suzan proposal

this might make you tear up, i know i did when james told me about dave's plan to propose to his girlfriend suzan. girls always think that guys aren't romantic and aren't creative, but this may change your mind. dave called james and told him he wanted to propose at the beach, at sunset, and wanted james to photograph the proposal. so james and dave came up with a plan to surprise suzan, they said james was taking a photography class and needed some sexy models for a photo shoot down at windansea beach. of course, suzan and dave are the PERFECT choice for that, can you believe how amazing they look? dave didn't look the least bit nervous, and suzan's expressions were absolutely priceless. we are so excited for your engagement, and wish you tons of happiness and fun as you plan your wedding!!! here are our faves from the day...
