dec 4: a month of charitable giving -- toys for tots | sf bay area photographer

 

in honor of james, whose birthday is today, we are featuring toys for tots, a fantastic organization that you surely have come across in years past.  the toys for tots program was started by the marines and is another organization that is super responsibly run.  we love that most of the money donated goes directly to the children to buy toys and gifts.

it is always such an honor when our clients welcome us back into their lives, and we were thrilled to hear that lisa and tim were expecting.  they wanted a bit more rustic look, so we headed out to old poway park for a relaxed maternity session.

lisa looked amazing (as always), with a perfect glow and tim was so excited to meet his little baby girl.  here are my faves from the shoot...

the last couple months have been pretty hectic around the bay area, so we have been on a bit of a hiatus from sharing pictures. but we're back and ready to share some more family fun.  first off, an absolutely gorgeous family from our holiday sessions in san diego.  these were taken at one of our favorite places, old poway park, which has a rustic vibe and some very cool old trains.

this little guy was such a pro at posing and smiling, he made my life super easy.  even better, he is so cute i couldn't stop taking pictures of him all around old poway park.  thanks jackson for being such a rockstar model, and thank you debbie for all the referrals, you are awesome!

sassy sydney

by now it is probably clear that i am pretty much obsessed with my favorite little 4 year old, sydney. and she has grown to love the camera, which is awesome for me. here are a few of my favorite photos from the last several months....

first, a sassy shoot downtown by petco park...

then it was off to see some wildflowers down in pt loma, so cute and romantic...


a few months later, sydney wanted to model her halloween costume, plus show me all her disney princess dress-up outfits...

it is always so much fun when one of my friends wants to do family photos, especially when it is someone as fun and beautiful as jenny. i photographed her wedding a few years ago, and even though they live in florida, they have family here in san diego, and recently came to visit. i was absolutely THRILLED to meet their adorable baby boy, logan, and see all the nieces and nephews too. jenny brought along her sister and dad, and we got the whole family in on the fun.

we met in old poway park and let the kids play around on the trains while we snapped some photos. here are my faves from the day.
