manhattan beach

i am pretty lucky that i get to travel to some really nice places for my other job, where i solve the world's problems with ease and finesse. my recent project has taken me close to home, to the south bay area. one night after dinner i saw this sunset over the manhattan beach pier, and it made all the 16 hour days and rush hour traffic drives worth it. enjoy!

little treats

every once in a while i find that i am craving something pretty random, like something only a 4 year old should want. last week, it was those yummy, slightly waxy, chocolate hostess donettes. not even donuts, donettes. so that you will crave them too, a nice little picture...


and quite possibly my latest favorite junk food, the mini-pepsi, i think it is appropriate that they have called it joy, because with only 100 calories, it is pure joy.

i met mirna and her son aidan at a park in anaheim one sunny friday afternoon while they were visiting family. mirna lives in mexico city but was in town for a few weeks and wanted to get aidan's 1st birthday pictures done. thank you cristina for referring them, aidan was super cute!!!

wildflowers | san diego photographer

so i love driving up the coast every week because i get a chance to gaze at the wildflowers, or what james lovingly calls the weeds. i forced him to stop last week so we could get some pictures of one of the best wildflower seasons we have had (thanks to all the rain). here are a few pics, happy week!!

sometime last year we got an e-mail from one of our first wedding clients telling us about the grand opening of barry's bootcamp in hillcrest. as you remember, james and i were furiously prepping for our wedding with our trainer, but we figured we would check this new place out. we of course loved it and signed up and started seeing tiffany pretty regularly. so we were THRILLED when she told us she and jason were pregnant, and they wanted to do some maternity photos. tiffany wanted something dramatic and elegant, similar to the brooke burke maternity photos, so we set up a huge backdrop in their living room and went to work. here are some of our favorites...
