seniors: alyssa | san diego senior photographer

alyssa flew all the way to san diego from iowa for her senior portraits, so i knew we had to do something really cool. nothing says san diego better than balboa park and the beach, so that is where we headed, with a couple of stops in between. first it was balboa park, where she quickly proved she was quite the supermodel...



WOW!!!


after balboa we headed into south park and then over to north park for a little urban style, to show off alyssa's fabulous outfit. and we just happened to find a couple cool walls that really showed off her gorgeous eyes...

on our way to the beach, we made a detour to a local high school where we were looking for some bleachers. we found a little bench instead, but we made it work...


finally it was onto windansea beach, where the marine layer made for a bit of a chilly afternoon. but that didn't stop alyssa from jumping right into the water.

owen has arrived! | san diego newborn photographer

my good friend kim referred anne and her family to us last month, to take photos of their newest addition to the family. owen was just a few weeks old, the perfect age for those adorable sleeping baby photos. these are some of my favorite baby photos ever, check out some of our faves...

sydney is 3!!!| san diego portrait photographer

i can't believe it has been 3 years since little sydney was born, it seems like just yesterday that she was a newborn. james and i headed over to the flip-flop themed birthday party and had lots of tasty cupcakes (my friend deanne MADE all of these!) and some not so kiddie punch. here are a few fun shots of the kids, happy birthday sydney!

i had no idea how difficult it would be to get kids to play with toys for me to take pictures of them. luckily i had plenty of volunteer models of all ages, and super cute ones too. the davis kids met me in balboa park for some fun, and here are my faves from the shoot...
