wedding: lindsay and michael

lindsay and michael got married last month at the shadowridge country club in vista, but it took us a bit of time to get the photos processed since their wedding was the weekend before ours, but we are sure you will think it was worth the wait. we are posting the first half of the wedding now and will have the rest up shortly, so check back soon!

lindsay and michael were not only a ton of fun, but are two of the most photogenic people we have met. we noticed this first when we did their engagement session, where they both swore that they hadn't done professional pictures before, we say yeah right!

i spent some time with lindsay and her girls while they were getting ready, and james hung out with michael and his boys. we've noticed a trend in weddings (including ours!) where the grooms love to be the center of attention, and michael was no exception...

lindsay looked so amazing we couldn't stop photographing her all day...

michael and lindsay chose to see each other before the ceremony, which we love since it gives us so much more time to get some really great pictures. here are a few of our faves...

check back soon for part two of this post!

wedding: alison and dave

it was a cold, blustery day in san diego (of course, when we say cold we mean 50 degrees), and it was even chillier up in the mountains of julian on alison and dave's wedding day. it didn't matter though, because the love and excitement from dave and alison warmed everything up and made for a spectacular wedding celebration at the pine hills lodge.

i met alison in her cottage to get some of the getting ready pictures, and the girls were looking super glam and very fabulous.

james hung out with dave and the guys at the bar and got the occassional picture of dave and his guys between shots. i am sure they were drinking just to keep warm...

and not to be outdone by the guys, the girls had a few shots as well...

alison and dave saw each other before the ceremony, which was good news since it only got colder as the evening went on...

the ceremony was very personal, delivered by one of alison's closest friends...

and the reception was perfect, with amazing food and decor, entertaining dance moves and a cake cutting that was just what you expect cake cuttings to be--messy and fun...

i love this shot of the girls' faces, there is so much excitement over the bouquet...

alison and dave, thank you for letting us celebrate this very special day with you and thank you for being so much fun!

wedding: dil and alex

it was a great end to a great year of fun and fabulous weddings. we headed up to la a couple weeks ago to be part of dil and alex's wedding, which was a great mix of sri lankan and greek cultures. when i first met dil, i knew she would be easy to photograph because she has an amazing smile and loves to laugh. and when james and i did their engagement photos a couple weeks earlier, we couldn't wait for the wedding because both dil and alex loved to have fun. ***friends and family, to be notified when the rest of the pictures are online, please sign the guestbook here

here are a few of our favorite engagement shots and some of the highlights of the wedding:

wedding...

i love this one of dil...

dil wore a veil that had been in the family for hundreds of years, it was really amazing...

look at this cute little guy, he was hammin' it up all night...

dil's smile and laugh were contagious...

look at the girls fighting for this bouquet...

one of dil's relatives gave a really funny toast...

and a final kiss to end the night...what a cute cake topper, hopefully not indicative of their marriage :)

dil and alex, congratulations on a wonderful wedding and best wishes for a long and happy marriage!
