when we first moved to the bay area last year, i have to be honest, we didn't love it. we were homesick for san diego, and missed our friends, our house, our hillcrest farmer's market.  well fast forward a year, relocate us from chilly san bruno to sunny san carlos and throw in a thursday night farmer's market and bam!, we are starting to like the bay area more and more.

i have found myself really looking forward to the market every week, i catch an earlier train home from the office now that i am not flying every week, and we take our little dog foxy out and see the neighborhood out and about.

one of the best things about the market is the fruit & one of our favorites is the pluot, a hybrid of a plum and apricot that is OMG delicious.  these little sweet treats are super sweet, crisp and so tasty that we are basically salivating by thursday afternoon every week.  our favorite type of pluot is called the dapple dandy, pick one up at your local market and you won't be sorry.
