wedding: heather and randall

its so much fun to be a wedding photographer when the couple is as cool as heather and randall. we met them getting busy on the dance floor last year, at heather's sister's kirsten's wedding, and we were psyched when heather called us to do her wedding this year. randall is in the marine corps, and recently returned from a tour overseas, and we were so happy to see him return safely, and in plenty of time for their wedding.

heather and randall got married on a gorgeous saturday afternoon at the marine corps recruiting depot in san diego, and everything was just perfect. heather was a beautiful princess, in an amazing dress...




... and all her bridesmaids were so sassy it was easy to make them look good. check out heather's extremely sassy mom and aunt in this picture






and what can you say about a man in uniform? and ten men in uniform? enough said. james had a lot of fun with randall and his groomsmen, sharing marine stories and passing around the flasks.


randall was obviously psyched to be getting married that day, and heather looked amazing as she walked down the aisle with her father...





after the ceremony, we spent a few minutes with the happy couple, but didn't want to delay getting into the very fun party...









the cake was beautiful, and the dances were so emotional




heather and randall, thank you so much for letting us share your special day with you and your family, we truly feel like we are part of the family now. be on the lookout for wedding invitations to our big bash next year!!!

heather and randall: engaged!

we met heather and randall last year at heather's sister's wedding - i don't think randall left the dance floor all night, and both heather and randall loved the camera. so we were incredibly excited when they asked us to be their photographers for their wedding, this july at the marine corps recruit depot (mcrd) in san diego.


heather and randall met us at the hotel del on a very gray day, quite uncharacteristic in san diego. randall had just returned from 7 months overseas with the marine corps, so they were very excited when we asked them to make out for us.




we went for a little walk down the beach, to a deserted life guard station where things got a little steamier...

and then headed back to the del for some fun and playful shots...

heather and randall, we are so excited for your wedding, and are looking forward to a lot of amazingly beautiful and fun pictures.

we love when we get the chance to do photos for a couple we know, especially when they are as much fun as heather and randall. heather and randall are expecting a little one in december, so we met them in la jolla to do some pre-baby belly pics, and heather looked as glam as ever. randall loves being funny with the camera, and it doesn't help that james encourages him, i guess marines have the same sense of humor. we started at la valencia hotel, because we knew that randall would love all the pink, and then headed down to the beach for some great wave splashing shots. here are some of our faves from the shoot, congrats heather and randall, we can't wait to meet the little one...

welcome baby brody

i can't begin to explain how happy we get when our past clients call us for pictures, and with heather and randall, we feel like we have known them for years ( i think we have) and were so excited to do their newborn pics of baby brody. unfortunately, brody was feeling a bit under the weather, but we did manage to get a few good ones of him and daddy before randall had to head off to afghanistan. randall, be safe, we can't wait to see you in a few months!!! here are some of our faves from the shoot, congrats heather and randall, we'll see you soon.
